Keanu Reeves Turns Down Neo and John Wick in Mortal Kombat!

WHYY??

Who does not know the game Mortal Kombat? This fighting genre game debuted in 1992. Initially Mortal Kombat was just an arcade game, but later the game was changed by Acclaim Entertainment to become a game console. For a long time, Mortal Kombat is known to have stunning graphics, and always features scenes of violence and bloodshed. That's what has attracted Mortal Kombat since its inception.

The last Mortal Kombat game itself was released in 2019, entitled Mortal Kombat 11. Until now, there has been no news that Warner Bros Interactive will make a new game. Although there is no new game plan yet, Mortal Kombat fans want the presence of Neo and John Wick characters in the upcoming new game. Unfortunately, fans are a little disappointed, because Neo and John Wick actor, Keanu Reeves, rejected his character from joining Mortal Kombat.

In an interview conducted with Esquire, actor Keanu Reeves was asked about the possibility of Neo and John Wick appearing in Mortal Kombat. Reeves emphatically refused both characters to appear in Mortal Kombat. According to Reeves, Neo and John Wick have their own worlds, as well as Mortal Kombat.

"If it was up to me, no. Mortal Kombat is amazing in many ways, but I think, Neo and Wick, they did what they could on their own. So is Mortal Kombat." Says Keanu Reeves. Reeves seems aware that decisions like this do not depend on the actor, but on the owners of each character, namely Warner Bros (Neo) and Lionsgate (John Wick).

Of course, it will be difficult for Mortal Kombat developers to bring in Neo and John Wick characters. But geeks, it's not impossible that this can happen. In Mortal Kombat 11 only, developers can add Joker characters. Apart from that, Mortal Kombat also features other big characters like Terminator T-800 and even Spawn. So, it is not impossible for Mortal Kombat to feature other famous characters. Let's just wait, geeks, whether Neo and John Wick will actually be able to appear in Mortal Kombat or not.
