Brandon Sanderson, the acclaimed writer behind Mistborn and The Stormlight Archive, has revealed that he is working on a new game.

This information comes through Sanderson's latest blog entitled "State of the Sanderson 2021". Sanderson details what he has done in his career, where he mentions feature films, TV series, and more.

On top of that, he's also quick to reveal that he's been working on a game for a while and we might get to see it soon.

"I've been working on a video game for a number of years, and I suspect it will be announced this year," Sanderson wrote. "Please speculate."

Sanderson added that the game was not based on any of his IPs and was something new he built with the team he worked with on this project.

Sanderson also said that people would recognize the company that developed the game, but jokingly said that it was "probably not what you're thinking right now", and it's not "anything else either".

First Time In The Video Game Industry?

If Sanderson enters the video game industry, then this will be great news for his fans. He briefly wrote an e-book novel in 2011 for Epic Games' Infinity Blade franchise entitled "Infinity Blade: Awakening".

Since Sanderson noted that this game will not take inspiration from his IP, then those waiting for the Mistborn game should continue to wait again. Maybe if the development of this game goes well, Sanderson decided to make the game Mistborn.
