Cyberpunk 2077 Designers Give Reasons For Lack of “Police Chase”

Still discussing the legendary studio CD Project Red, we have yet again received quite interesting information to discuss. As usual, they came with information about Cyberpunk 2077. In his latest interview, the designer of Cyberpunk 2077 finally answered why his game still lacks "Police Chase".

The release of Cyberpunk 2077 was not as smooth as we expected. Even so, CDPR's ambition in improving this game deserves our appreciation. Over the past few months, CDPR has provided a myriad of significant fix patches. However, that does not mean the game has completely recovered from the problems that had previously approached.

Designer Cyberpunk 2077: Elden Ring Doesn't Have a "Police Chase" Too

In a recent interview with Pawel Sasko, Quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077, he explained why his game doesn't offer a lot of "Police Chase" elements. In his opinion, not all games should carry this concept. Continuing this, Sasko also said that "I don't think Sonic and Elden Ring itself which is an Open-World game have that concept (Police Case)."

To be sure, Sasko gave a statement containing "I understand what you mean, but I think that not all games have to use this method, maybe what you mean is like GTA or Ubisoft's Watch Dogs. But Open-World games don't mean you have to have them."

Considering Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that takes the theme of Modern Crime, of course, this answer is considered unreasonable for gamers. Many think that the Developer is just avoiding the question to compare the game with other Open-World titles. That way, CRPR again received a bad response from fans who felt disappointed and forced him to provide clarification.

Devs may add these elements in the future

Sure enough, not long after the criticism emerged, the CDPR finally gave the real answer. They themselves admit that, at that time, their team did not get the opportunity to add an element of police chase because the release time was too narrow. That way, the Devs take a shortcut through the instant Spawning system on the location when the player triggers it by doing something criminal.

Having this answer means there is a possibility that Cyberpunk 2077 will bring "Police Chase" in the future. For that, Cyberpunk 2077 has been released and you can play on PC, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Google Stadia platforms. As usual, PC users can purchase the game through the Digital Steam Store platform. What do you think, are you interested in trying this game again?
